Listen to what some of our many satisfied customers and clients have to say about their experience with Carolina Recreation & Design
I just built a daycare center and called Carolina Recreation & Design to work with me for playground equipment installation. They were great. The crew they sent out was very professional; they followed the timeline they promised. Great company to work with. The playground they gave me will make a lot of kids happy and safe.
Carolina Recreation & Design was very easy to work with when our neighborhood association decided to upgrade the features at the park. From the initial contact to the final inspection, it was a great all-round experience. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to install a commercial playground in their community.
Our church considers Carolina Recreation & Design a part of our family. They have designed and built three play spaces at our church so far. Carolina Recreation & Design creativity, along with their professionalism, make working with them a joy. The final product is safe, current to industry standards, and, most of all, a fun space for the children. We would recommend Carolina Recreation & Design to anyone interested in upgrading their play spaces.
Pretty much everything! A splash pad (also known as a zero-depth pool) is a wet playground designed with a combination of inground and above ground spray features and toys. Some splash pads even include raised decks with water slides! Splash pads can be zero-depth, or can sometimes be set in 12” of water. Where small children are involved, a zero-depth splash pad is usually preferable from the standpoint of safety.
Splash pads have become an increasingly popular alternative to swimming pools for a number of reasons.
How is water play good for children? Apart from the obvious benefits of being able to cool down while getting some needed exercise, there are other good reasons for a child to be able to take advantage of a splash pad. Water play offers a rich sensory experience for young children, and can aid with their sensory development. While they’re having fun, children can also learn more about the physics of water as they engage with all of the various nozzles and sprayers. It’s a rich environment for experimentation and inductive learning. A splash pad is also a positive environment for social interaction and group play opportunities.
Many parks, country clubs, municipalities, and other organizations have enjoyed the benefits of investing in a commercial splash pad installation. Splash pads can even be built over top of existing pools that are no longer utilized. Many smaller towns and communities are finding that splash pads are much more cost-effective, simpler to maintain, and easier to staff. Some have chosen to integrate a splash pad alongside their existing pool and playground facilities, while others have installed a splash pad as its own stand-alone feature. Here are some reasons to consider adding a splash pad to your commercial site:
A universal splash mounting system gives you the freedom to change and rotate spray fixtures anytime you want. This can help to maintain interest among your clientele, and also helps to encourage return visits.
Want to create a spark of vitality around an urban center or otherwise “boring” space? Nothing helps to generate a buzz of excitement like the introduction of a new, accessible splash pad that the whole family can enjoy!
One of the best ways to attract young families to your organization or facility is by providing something that their children will truly enjoy. There aren’t many things more fun for a child than a splash pad!
Most towns, parks, and owners of splash pads don’t charge an admission fee for the use of their splash pad, while others do. If you choose not to charge, how can a splash pad be a source of revenue for your community?
There are many other creative ways to turn your splash pad into a revenue generator – use your imagination!
